Virgin Voyages Sleek Scarlet Lady Makes New York Debut For Media and Travel Professionals.

Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady made her maiden arrival in New York City today September 12, 2021. The Measuring 909 feet long, 135 feet wide, 17 decks high, 110,000 ton ship arrived at the New York pilot station at 4 PM and sailed underneath the Verrazano Narrows Bridge into the lower bay around 5:30 pm. As the Scarlet Lady was passing the Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal (Bayonne), the Oasis of the Seas was departing at the same time and the two ships crossed as the Oasis of the Seas was heading out bound and the Scarlet Lady was heading in bound. The Scarlet Lady proceeded to lower Manhattan where she posed for a photo op. The ship then proceeded past the Statue of Liberty and to the Cape liberty Cruise terminal.

Since the ship was not at her 8 PM arrival time, the ship then proceeded back to lower Manhattan turned around and then backed into the Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal at approximately 7:45 PM.

It was reported that the Scarlet Lady was carrying passengers and that those passengers would be disembarking in Cape Liberty. Later in the afternoon on September 13 th, the Scarlet Lady will be heading to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal where she will host travel agents, media and also a special event where visitors can have dinner ($100/person) and an evening/overnight on the ship for $1000-$2000 per person.

Her arrival in New York today was part of a transatlantic voyage that departed from Portsmouth England on September 3rd.

The Scarlet Lady was originally supposed to visit New York in the spring of 2020 but this was delayed as a result of Covid.

After departing from New York Sunday / Monday, the Scarlet Lady will be heading to Miami where she will begin sailing 4 and 5 day cruises to the Bahamas or Mexico and the Bahamas.
