Watch this great video of the idle cruise ships in the Weymouth Bay off of Weymouth, England. The bay is were some cruise ships spend their time between visits to Southampton for supplies and refueling. Various ships have spent time in the bay as the cruise lines continue to actively find secure location and ports that will allow their crew to go ashore as well as to load stores. The relocation to Europe is to also avoid the hurricanes and massive storms that have ravaged the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, Florida, Bahamas and East Coast ports.
In this video you will see some impressive video footage of various ships idle in Weymounth Bay awaiting a return to service. On the day this video was shot, include P&O Cruises Ventura and Britannia; Cunard Line's Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria; along with an un-named Carnival Cruise ship.
It is unclear whether the ships will remain in this area as winter sets in and the weather and sea becomes more rough. Ships may relocate to the Mediterranean or Caribbean.
